Roman Coastal Reserve | | | Zones | | | Tower of Palidoro |
It is a massive four floors building constructed on the ruins of a big Roman "villa" in "opus reticolatum", whose structures scarcely appear on the surface of dunes that cover them.
The tower was part of the sighting system that protected the territory from the Roman period to the medievale's one.
Information for the realization of this page has been taken out by the synthetic guide "Scopriamo la Riserva Naturale Statale del Litorale Romano" realized by the WWF Roman Coastal Branch.
